SNOWDEN + ALIEN ENCRYPTION

A little birdie told me that there won’t be any UFO leaks from Snowden and his documents.  And nothing even remotely close to “Extraterrestrial Disclosure” exists in the yet to be released Snowden obtained archive.  Why would there be?

As most of you Twitterites have heard, Snowden was recently a guest on Neil deGrasse Tyson's podcast, StarTalk. During his interview, Edward spoke of the concept of EXTRATERRESTRIAL ENCRYPTION.  The idea that any technologically advanced civilization will quickly learn, during it’s digital informational development phase, that data is king.  And that data, all data, has profound potentiality for both help and harm.  That this, pure potentiality often innocently exposed through modern transmission technologies is worth protecting.  Snowden reminds us that the practicality of how the engineering of these systems were designed, came with inherited architectures that did not foresee the problems of electronic interception. He discussed how our expectation of privacy is being exploited and abused, and reminded us of the importance of the conservation of privacy.

Specifically, Snowden theorized that all technologically advanced societies will experience and resolve this issue in the early phase of their development.  He proposed that advanced beings will begin to encrypt ALL information based transmissions by default, simply as a natural progression of any culture’s digital evolution.

In a way, right now we are living in the wild west of the digital age.  And soon we will learn the price paid for our ignorance.  We will learn to protect our bits and bites like we do our water and food.  Like we do our property.  We will begin to directly experience the double edged sword of social media, and come to understand the cost of perceived convenience.  We can already witness the invasion and exploitation of our privacy as a result of digital self-expression.

Snowden’s comments are best summarized here: ”If you have an alien civilization trying to listen for other civilizations, or OUR civilization trying to listen for aliens, there's only one small period in the development of their society, when all of their communications will be sent via the most primitive, and most unprotected means.  So, when we think about everything that we're hearing through our satellites or everything that they're hearing from our civilization, if there are indeed aliens out there, all of their communications are encrypted by default.  So what we are hearing, that's actually an alien television show... or a phone call ... a message between their planet, and their own GPS constellation... is indistinguishable to us from cosmic microwave background radiation."

SNOWDEN + ALIEN ENCRYPTION HOST: Neil deGrasse Tyson

So maybe, in a way, Snowden’s remarks reflect the Fermi Paradox confronted.

The Fermi Paradox is the assumed contradiction between high estimates of the probability of the existence of extraterrestrial civilizations (such as expressed by the Drake equation), and the apparent lack of evidence for such civilizations.  According to Enrico Fermi, the Earth should already have been visited by extraterrestrial aliens, though Fermi saw no convincing evidence of this, nor any signs of alien intelligence anywhere in the observable universe.  This led him to ask the famous question, "Where is everybody?”

Hopefuls might think a leak like Snowden's would contain deeply classified data on UFOs (since we know the CIA and FBI have both begrudgingly released tantalizing scraps of UFO investigations due to F.O.I.A. requests)… But in fact, it makes total sense there wouldn't be any UFO related documents in the coveted and enigmatic Snowden archive.  The NSA system that Snowden had access to, the internal intelligence internet of sorts, was relatively low-level by any account.  Snowden was a “systems analyst” or a "cyberstrategist", not the overlord of the BLACK PROJCT EMPIRE.  As far as compartmentalized intelligence goes, although offering a profound revelation in regards to data consumption by our government, Snowden and his releases were just scraping the surface of secrets hidden from the American public and the world.

In some circles it is known and acknowledged that the "Non-Terrestrial" programs are operated by tightly controlled and extremely limited staff at any particular time in human history.  No true UFO related info could ever come out through such a highly accessed NSA archive such as what Snowden had access to.

Don’t get me wrong.  I personally believe, for tangible reasons, that communication with Non-Human intelligences has already occurred, and at multiple times throughout history.  But Snowden undoubtedly never accessed that information, however, others have come forward from time to time.  Such as the infamous Area 51 whistleblower, Bob Lazar.  We call this special breed of individual, a "Cosmic Whistleblower”.

This bizarre sub-field of journalism has become my specialty.  In 2013 I was asked to document the infamous interview with the man known as ANONYMOUS.  In a sketchy hotel room in the North East of the United States, I recorded the story of an aging CIA operative who’s job was to digest information hidden from the majority of intelligence agencies protecting our country from various perceived threats.  This experience was my first personal glimpse into the mindset of a former government intelligence operative who chose to spend (what he assumed were) his final days jammed into a dingy hotel room with a bunch of strangers pointing cameras in his face.

Truth about UFOs and the “Phenomenology” that surround them, is hard to come by.  As I’m sure you can imagine, the signal to noise ratio of truth to bullshit is unequivocally dramatic.  In fact, the gloomy truth is most of the interviews I have conducted with those who were or are in the position to know such privileged information, have been "off the record" and in private settings.  I have been educated by "anonymous” higher-ups on certain uncomfortable truths about the nature of our position in space-time for the sole purpose that I would have critical touchstones as I traverse the uncharted seas of the Extraordinary.

On the one hand, I am grateful that people of high position within the military have had my back, and have helped me from being misled.  On the other hand, it is frustrating that the oath of journalism, to protect ones sources above all else, can weigh so heavy on the hopeful soul.

To evoke any real illumination on our dirty little secret, that "we are not alone”, is gonna take a variety of input sources.  And it will take an even more monumental amount of data to convince the masses.  That is unless the true architects of the secrecy come forward to announce themselves.  Anybody?  Bueller?

I didn’t think so.

But I do often wonder what that would look like?  Would it be instantaneous, or would the Cosmic Overlords reveal themselves over time like in the book by Arthur C. Clarke "Childhood's End"?

Or maybe it’s happening right now.  In a methodical algorithm that defies sequential logic to appear like cosmic static to the uninitiated.  Background radiation, like Snowden theorizes it would appear.

It’s all speculation beyond a certain point.  But sometimes, if you’re lucky, you hear the whispers.
